About Tropaquatics

The health and welfare of our livestock always come first.

Our fish are cared for in purpose-built fish rooms containing dedicated filtration, heating and quarantine facilities. Every aquarium is checked regularly, with routine water testing, cleaning and water changes forming part of our daily care programme.

New livestock is inspected and, where appropriate, quarantined or monitored before being made available for sale. We will delay a sale or delivery if we are not satisfied that an animal is healthy and ready to travel.

Tropaquatics has grown from a genuine interest in breeding and keeping tropical fish, particularly plecos and Corydoras.

We aim to give customers honest, practical advice about:

• Choosing suitable livestock;
• Aquarium size and stocking;
• Compatibility between species;
• Feeding and ongoing care;
• Water conditions;
• Acclimatisation; and
• Breeding and raising juvenile fish.

If you are unsure whether a fish or other animal is suitable for your aquarium, please contact us before ordering.

Our livestock and aquatic products are available for delivery across mainland Great Britain, subject to courier coverage and suitable weather conditions.

Collection may also be available by prior arrangement.

All livestock orders are packed carefully using appropriate aquatic transport bags, insulated packaging and heat packs where required. Deliveries may be postponed during extreme weather or other conditions that could put animal welfare at risk.

Our livestock deliveries are protected by our Live Arrival and DOA Policy, subject to the conditions stated in that policy.

Tropaquatics LTD operates under Animal Activity Licence number 26/02405/ANIPET.

We reserve the right to refuse or cancel a livestock sale if we reasonably believe that the proposed aquarium, collection arrangements or intended care would not be suitable for the animal.
